He bought it with his second wife and at that time they probably had a 60ft garden which rapidly became a 30ft garden whilst they were there. They sold the property at a big loss, however I have fond memories of my weekend visits and the wonderful views from the house. So sad what has happened. I remember when walking here I went down onto the beach on the "closed" path and found a house part hanging over the cliffs, so the erosion is certainly continuing, though perhaps it is slower now.
